ANGLESEY LODGE

A new chapter for Heathfield Care Homes is arriving soon!

A new place to call home

Anglesey Lodge was a historic villa built in Alverstoke between 1830-1840.

Originally built as housing for Naval officers, it later became a childrens’ home in the 1930’s, and was most recently used by the Hampshire Autistic Society. In 2020, the building suffered a fire and was left very damaged and derelict

Heathfield Care Homes Ltd bought the building in October 2023 and worked closely with Gosport Planning Dept to restore the grade II listed area of the original frontage of the house and build a block of modern en-suite shower room bedrooms for use as a Nursing Home. This will be the third nursing home to add to the family of Tudor Lodge, in Newgate Lane, Fareham, and Canford Manor in Lee on the Solent. Anglesey will offer exceptional nursing care in a beautiful setting, a quarter of a mile from the beach at Alverstoke. There will 42 bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms, and generous communal areas. The 1.8 acre gardens will be restored for all residents to enjoy. Anglesey Lodge is hoping to be open to new residents towards the end of January 2027.
